Emerald is the most precious member of the Beryl group. Emerald is classified as one of the traditional four precious gemstones along with Ruby, Sapphire, and Diamond. Only the finest of Emeralds are transparent, with almost all natural emeralds containing many characteristic inclusions, know as a "Jardin" (garden). These inclusions can be liquid or gas bubbles, healing cracks and foreign crystals captured in the emeralds lattice. It should be noted that these are not necessarily classified as faults, but are evidence of the genuineness of the stone.
