Touchstone uses a number of fast and reliable courier services to get your gems to you as quickly and economically as possible.
For the majority of our shipping in South Africa we use the 24-72 hour Speed Services countrywide delivery service through the South African Post Office (on a counter to counter basis). Free insurance is provided on all parcels shipped from Touchstone. Should the items be of a sufficiently high value, Touchstone may elect to ship the goods using Ram Hand to Hand couriers, or facilitate delivery to a jeweller of choice for a secure collection.
For Johanneburg and Pretoria based clients, we have enlisted the services of Fasyway couriers. Parcels can be sent door to door from one of our Johannesburg-based agencies for a nominal fee of R25.00 ex vat. You can track and trace your parcel by logging onto www.fastway.co.za
All parcels are shipped using a waybill system, allowing tracking for peace of mind.
In all cases delivery will require the purchaser or party elected by the purchaser, at the time of purchase, to sign for the goods and provide a valid ID document, as proof of identity (the ID number will be recorded against the receipt as proof of delivery).
Speed Services Shipping - R70.00 ex vat (Price may flactuate with Rand/Dollar exchange)
Fastway Couriers (JHB / PTA only) - R25.00 ex vat (Price may flactuate with Rand/Dollar exchange)
Standard delivery time is 24-48 Hours and all packages are fully insured.
Please note: Speed Services cannot deliver to PO Box addresses, they will deliver to the post office counter where your PO Box resides.
Availability
All gems that are in stock will be shipped within 24 hours once payment has been received, Monday through to Thursday excluding public holidays. Fridays on special request only.
Insurance
All parcels are fully insured.
Damaged Packages
Please refuse delivery of damaged or opened packages. Insurance is null & void if you accept a damaged package.
Additional Information for Non RSA shipments
In many countries (not RSA) properly declared shipments are subject to custom charges and tax. Registered Mail takes longer but usually avoids additional fees. We are happy to send via Speed Services / Fedex, but please keep in mind that we have no control over extra charges occurring in your country. The buyer is responsible for any customs, tax and duties in their country, and additional insurance may be required if the destination has been flagged by our shipper as a possible crime risk zone.
